HR Manager required to cover Maternity Leave for Shepton Mallet based Specialist Hospital.
Now recognised as one of the best performing treatment centres in the UK, our client requires an experienced HR Manager to work on a 6month fixed term contract.
Purpose of Role:
To manage a high quality and pro-active operational HR service to the Managers and staff in line with HR policies.
Key Responsibilities include:
Advising, coaching, and supporting managers in the areas of recruitment and selection, the on going development and maintenance of HR systems eg. Payroll and benefit administration, employment law, and employee relations involving conduct, performance and absence management.
Person Specification:
*Education / Qualifications:
*Graduate CIPD qualification and membership or nearing completion of Grad CIPD course.
Experience:
*Solid previous experience within an HR Managerial role
*Evidence of continuous professional development.
*Up to date knowledge of employment legislation and its practical application.
*Recruitment and retention experience.
Skills / Knowledge:
*Effective communication skills. Able to express information clearly and in an understandable way. Ability to listen carefully in order to understand the needs of others.
*Up to date knowledge of employment law and best practice.
*Experience of HR information system.
*Good keyboard/ computer skill.
*Numerate and literate
*Ability to work flexibly within the needs of the service
*Evidence of ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
*Ability to plan and prioritise own workload when under pressure.
*Able to establish rapport and credibility with others.
*Ability to deliver training/induction.

Hours: Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00 flexibility required
Salary: £35,000 pro rata
