Job Description

Are you looking for Career Progression? This established 5 star hotel located in the Somerset area are currently looking to recruit motivated and professional individuals. A Commis Chef is required for this hotel that is currently undergoing an extensive refurbishment and has over 100 bedrooms and two dining outlets.

The Role:

You will be willing to learn and be committed to high standards; this kitchen is the ideal place in which to develop your skills. You will be working with local fresh produce to create innovative dishes for a seasonal changing menu. You will be preparing food and doing basic cooking, under the supervision of the more experienced chefs. You will also be responsible for maintaining high standards of hygiene, handling deliveries and stock rotation.

Qualification/Experience:

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in a similar quality large hotel environment and be experienced in cooking to high standards and catering for large volume. You will also require NVQ Level 1 and 2 or equivalent qualifications as well as a passion and enthusiasm to succeed as the opportunity for internal promotion does exist for a career minded individual.
