Principal Systems Engineer sought by my client who are ground breaking wireless semiconductor company based in the UK. The vacancy is within their Femtocel/WCDMA engineering team and will concentrate on the integration of software and hardware for a Femtocel Access Point reference design.
Experienced Systems engineers and integrators are sought with outstanding systems knowledge spanning UMTS L3, L2, L1, RF, etc and a comprehensive understanding of the inter-working of all elements in a UMTS network.
Systems Integration Engineers with the following skills are invited to apply:
- 5 years industrial experience in WCDMA product level integration and testing on UE (User Equipment) or Node B technology platforms.
- Experienced of using wireless test equipment, protocol analyzers and user equipment trace/diagnostic tools.
- Comprehensive understanding of UMTS network architecture and in-depth knowledge of UMTS L3, L2, L1, RF and inter-working of network elements.
- Familiarity with industry working practices for configuration management, fault reporting, test coverage analysis and metrics.
- Familiarity with Linux operating system and programming environment.
- Programming experience in C and at least one of the following Scripting languages: Perl, Tcl, Python.
