Engineering Team Leader A350 Location - Avon Salary - Competitive Benefits - Yes Relocation - Available My client is a expanding and increasingly successful aerospace company, As such they have a ever-greater need for dedicated and highly skilled employees across a wide range of fields and specializations. The Wing CoE Engineering Team for A350, Siglum TWEO, is tasked with developing the detailed design for the A350 Wing, including structure and systems installation, from concept through Data for Manufacture to Certification. This includes the development of the various A350 variants - A350-900, A350-1000, A350-800. The role of an Engineering Team Leader is to lead a multi-functional team in order to deliver engineering data to agreed time scales, cost and quality within the scope of the fully integrated A350 wing. Significant amounts of work on A350 are placed off-site within Risk Sharing Partners and Engineering Offload Suppliers and the candidate will need to be able to manage supplier(s) to ensure successful completion of tasks to time cost & quality criteria. This entails the following: Lead, plan and project manage tasks from initial concept through to successful completion and delivery to time, cost and quality Provide Technical Leadership to ensure deliverables meet technical requirements Develop the Engineering plans and resource requirements including skill mix to deliver Engineering objective whilst supporting development needs Participate actively in the integration and optimisation of the component across Engineering procurement and manufacture Support Improvement Projects and so drive cost savings. The successful candidate will have a sound and broad Engineering background preferably in a structural environment and; Ideally have a degree or HND/HNC in a relevant Engineering field some work experience. Project management and leadership skills ideally with track record for delivering Engineering and/or improvement programmes Engineering processes Broad knowledge of the clients business with experience in an Operational Engineering team Experience managing engineering projects with external interfaces Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and influence people at all levels within the organisation Be an enthusiastic individual with ability to motivate, a passion for identification of improvement opportunities and the drive to successfully implement change.
